Prayer Answered

The span of time between my hearing the gospel of salvation, preached to me in a park by a believer whom I never saw again, and my baptism into the name of Jesus Christ was a few years. It seems that after praying to receive the Lord I kept getting stirred up to find the people who really loved the Lord and all the more so after I was baptized. On my first visit to the local church, I had a compelling sense within of the life of Jesus (2 Corinthians 4:10-11, 2:14-15) that subsequent visits only confirmed. I felt that these people loved the Lord. I also took this experience of coming to these people as the answer to my prayers. I was praying, “Lord what are you doing. Lord where are people who love you!” I was 25 years old when I first visited a local church. Today I am 53.
